However with a little bit of knowledge it is possible to turn your shopping into another way of transforming your debt into wealth.

Once you have your card, any purchases that you make on it will earn you cash back. However make sure you set up an automatic payment each month to pay the card off in full. This is to ensure you don’t pay any interest.

To help keep a track of how much money you have left of your budget, you can set up a separate savings account for the credit card. Each time you make a purchase on the card you transfer the same amount from your day-to-day account to the savings account. That way you can see how much money you have left for the month in the day-to-day account while the money in the savings account earns extra interest for you before you pay off the card!

Reward cards

Much like the cash back credit cards, you can also earn rewards. Each company runs a different scheme. Some may offer Airmiles or points which you can then exchange for items or services from a list. You may feel rather than having the money in your pocket you would like to earn the air fare to an exotic destination.

Cash back websites   

If you ever buy anything on the internet, always look for a shopping website first. The reason why is even though you pay the same price, you can earn cash back just for going through cash back website. You can even sign up to a few sites and see which ones offer the better deals.

You may not make a lot of money with these techniques but every little bit helps. You can even combine both of the methods and start to earn some serious cash back for your shopping.
