It may seem too obvious that if you increase your income you will be better off. But one of the things most people miss is that it is quite easy to earn a few more dollars by doing some really simple things.

We are not talking about thousands of dollars but a few more which is always helpful in reducing any debt or to increase savings.

Work

  If you are currently working a good place to start is to try to increase your wages. You can do this by asking for more hours, working overtime or trying to get a raise. One powerful way of getting a raise is rather than just asking for it, is to ask what you need to do in order to have one. This shows that you are willing to work at earning more money and you will have definite goals to reach in order to increase your income.

Make sure you get the details written down and once you have completed all of the tasks you can arrange another meeting with your boss.  At this second meeting you can evidence that you have done everything that was asked of you and once you ask for the raise, your boss will have to say yes as they previously agreed the plan!

There are many ways at home to increase your income. The first thing to do is to sort through all of those boxes of junk you have stored up over the years. If you have things that could still be used you can hold a yard sale or sell them at a jumble sale. Things like books, CDs, and video games are good to sell; you could even use eBay to increase your selling potential.

By taking on extra work you could earn some more money. This could be anything from delivering pizzas to working a few shifts in a supermarket. How about babysitting or if you have access to a van helping people move large items or taking rubbish to the local tip. Even mowing other people’s lawns is a quick way to increase your income.

Watch out for adverts offering large incomes for home based jobs. If they ask for a registration fee, make sure you are confident on what you will receive in return. Some can work and others could just be scams.


Internet

Using the Internet to increase your income is something which you can do right now. By filling out surveys, trying out new products or even by shopping for the things you normally buy!

Once again be wary of websites offering riches beyond your wildest dreams. Some of these can have some great ideas and others not so. We have read a few of the programs and they do vary in quality. However one trait they all have is that they require work and dedication. After all, anything worth having is not normally easy to get.
